An unusual George IV infantry officer's sword hilt, which has been mounted with an attractive and good quality clipped-point blade (perhaps French or Italian). The condition overall is good, but the hilt has quite a bit of movement on the tang. The blade has been modified in period to give it a form of bolster and the hilt has an unusual decorated ferrule at the top of the grip. In need of some work to tighten up the hilt sympathetically, but a very attractive sword nonetheless. Priced according to work needed.
