EL6647 - Very good French M1822 heavy cavalry sword ('bancal'), with four bar brass guard and pommel, good grip with most leather remaining (grip wire almost entirely removed). The huge 38 inch blade in very good condition with light patina and clear Klingenthal marking to the spine with date 1828. The blade appears to have been service sharpened and still retains quite a fine edge. No scabbard.
