EL6917 - An Edward VII era (1901-1910) 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword made by quality maker Thurkle, with a plain un-etched blade (except for the maker's name). Unrestored and in need of some cleaning up, but a good quality sword in solid condition with no movement. Shagreen and grip wire good, but in need of cleaning, the guard plating rather dull and in need of repolishing. The blade with patina, but being plain and un-etched will be easy to polish up. A good project sword and a good quality sword.
