Product Details

EL6699 - An attractive Edward VII era 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword in Indian Army style scabbard. Maker unknown, but the retailer is Milton & Jones of Manchester. My assumption from the scabbard is that this was carried by an officer in India, as this is a very characteristic type of scabbard and a good condition example. The sword itself is in average condition, some patina to the blade, good etching, firm in the hilt, the thinnest strand of the grip wire gone, but otherwise a good grip. The Edward VII emblem on the hilt is very ornately executed in a style I have not seen before.
