EL6186 - A good quality Edwardian 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword, etched to Bristol outfitter Pearson, Huggins & Co Ltd. The blade is in good condition with bright polish and frost etching. The blade is firm in the hilt and has been service sharpened at the tip and for a few inches on front and back edges. The guard in good condition with patina matching that of the scabbard. The shagreen and wire of the grip in good condition. Overall a decent example of the pattern, which was probably service sharpened for WW1 and which could benefit from some careful cleaning.
