EL6790 - Victorian Royal Artillery officer's sword, retailed by Jones of London, probably circa 1850-1860. A good example of an officer's sword for foot artillery (33 inch blade), probably imported from Solingen according to the proof slug. Blade with some patina, but quite clean and bright overall and good deep etching. Blade firm in the hilt. The shagreen rather sun bleached, but otherwise sound. Complete with matching scabbard.
