EL6380 - An early Victorian light cavalry officer's sword (1837-1845) by Hamburger (1821 pattern). Featuring a pipe-backed blade, with faint etching, showing the VR cypher and maker/retailer's name. Hilt firm on the tang, with good condition shagreen grip and silver grip wire. Guard and back piece would benefit from light cleaning/restoration and there is the remnants of the original sword knot still in place. Together with the original scabbard.
