EL6613 - An early to mid-Victorian infantry officer's sword, 1845 pattern, dating to about 1845-60, by William Buckmaster of London. Blade with dark patina and a lot of the etching obscured, as well as light pitting. A little bit of movement in the hilt. The grip is quite good, as is the guard, and the folding drop works quite well - there is an unusual insert in the pommel, which was allegedly to prevent brass staining the uniform. No scabbard.
