EL6369 - A British Royal Navy cutlass, of around 1887 in date. Cutlass designs are a little complicated around this date, as a lot of 1845 patterns were converted to a new blade length, but this example has the new full width patent tang, but not the guard of the 1889 pattern. So I assume it's from the 1880s. There is a maker's name which may be Chavasse, who was a Birmingham maker. All solid, with light pitting all over and some original black paint remaining to the hilt.
