ON HOLD EL6424 - A WW1 era cavalry sword, 1908 pattern, dated to 1914 and made at the Enfield Small Arms Factory. It has been service sharpened and the scabbard retains the original green camouflage paint, so this almost certainly saw service use in France/Belgium. The hilt has been stripped of its paint, but would originally have been painted the same colour as the scabbard probably. The sword and scabbard overall are rather dirty, and would benefit from cleaning and light restoration. The leather washer is missing, as they so often are on 1908 patterns, but this has no effect on this model's hilt, which remains solid on the tang.
