EL6716 - An 18th century Continental gentleman's smallsword. Featuring a brass hilt and double-edged 31.5 inch blade. Still retaining the grip wire and the construction all quite tight. An attractive sword, with engraved decoration and either a maker or motto. I cannot quite make this out, but it seems probably a Latin/Romance language, my guess being French or Spanish. Untouched and in need of a clean and some gentle restoration to bring out what remains of the blade decoration.
