EL6630 - A good Victorian 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword retailed by Pearse, and carrying what is known to be a trade blade proof slug by Wilkinson (so made by Wilkinson and sold to an outfitter in Covent Garden). Being VR marked, this dates the sword specifically to 1897-1901. The hilt has plenty of patina, which could be brightened up if desired, the grip is good, and the blade is very good, with original mirror polish and frost etching. Complete with steel dress scabbard.
