EL6893 - A late-Victorian 1895 pattern infantry officer's sword, of piquet weight (narrower blade than standard). Unknown maker or retailer, but this sword was made in 1895-96. The hilt now in bare steel, shagreen grip and wire in good condition, firm on the tang. The blade etching crisp, with medium patina. Complete in fitted field service scabbard. Quite a scarce pattern of sword to find in piquet weight.
