A good quality 1895 pattern infantry officer's sword (dating to 1895 or 96) by top maker Robert Mole & Sons of Birmingham. Features an India service style scabbard (with repairs to the leather - pictured), which has a hallmarked locket. The blade is firm in the hilt and features detailed etching. With some staining and a little pitting. The plated hilt is in good condition and the shagreen and wire of the grip are excellent, all tight.
