EL6760 - A good 1890 pattern cavalry sword with numerous markings, including 2D for the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys). The sword seems to have been made or first issued in 1893, presumably to the Scots Greys, but has a lot of subsequent approval and issue markings. Therefore this sword had a very 'active' regimental life, but has not been service sharpened, probably because the regiment received the newer 1899 pattern before going to South Africa. Everything clean and tight, the sword is in good condition, though sadly missing the scabbard.
