EL6488 - A British 1885 pattern cavalry sword, made in 1886 by Weyersburg of Solingen, for restoration. The blade is in quite good condition, with plenty of issue markings, but the steel of the hilt and the scabbard are both covered in surface rust which requires treatment. The grips have been modified in period to improve the grip (this pattern was disliked for turning in the hand).
