EL6871 - A good 1885 pattern cavalry sword (made in June 1885) by Mole of Birmingham. Various markings to the sword blade, hilt and scabbard, showing that this was made by Mole, proved and accepted into Government service, and passed down through regiments which seem to me to indicate the 1st Dragoons and then Yeomanry Cavalry. Clean and bright blade, patent solid hilt, so everything firm with no movement. Dark patina to guard and scabbard. Good condition checkered leather grips, secure on the tang.
