EL6569 - An 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword by Tatham. Featuring an unusual horn grip and unusual ferrule, I suspect this is Continentally made for the British market. The blade was service sharpened and has a series of small nicks to the cutting edge. The point has been reprofiled. The hilt is rather loose on the tang. Lacking a scabbard. An interesting example of the pattern, which probably had an interesting life! Now in need of some care.
