ELC1058 - A lovely 1831 pattern General's sword, in the mameluke style, retailed by Ranken of Calcutta (therefore probably Indian Army). Of regulation form and good quality, everything in good condition and solid. The ivory grips in good condition, with only minor wear and tear (see photos). Blade well etched and bright, with characteristic yelman (false edge). Housed in matching brass scabbard, with patina. Some gilding remaining to the brass fittings.
