EL6418 - A 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre, in need of restoration. The principle flaws of this sword are 1) the blade is heavily nicked (probably from drill practice) and 2) the grip is severely decayed, with loss to the wood and leather. Despite these two major flaws, the hilt's guard and back piece remain solid on the tang! With careful replacement of the grip, this would produce a quite serviceable sword, and would present quite well on the wall in its current state. No scabbard.
