ELF121 - A good 1796 pattern light cavalry officer's sword by sought-after maker Osborn. In good condition generally, it has a period repair to the bottom of the knucklebow (where there is also a chip missing from the grip - probably caused in period at the same time). The hilt is firm on the tang. Light patina to the blade, but relatively bright for the age, with one interesting nick from another blade in the false edge strangely. Leather washer still in place and the peen tidy and unbothered. The hilt with dark patina, and the lovely grip retaining virtually all of the leather over the corded wooden grip. No scabbard.
