Product Details

EL6589 - George III era 1796 pattern infantry officer's spadroon by Runkel. In good condition, with a mostly bright blade, featuring crisp engraving, showing the Royal arms and other devices. A lot of original gilt remaining to the brass hilt, as well as all the silver grip wire intact. The rear quillon is a little bent and there is a bit of movement in the hilt, but generally this is in very good condition and is an above average quality example. Carried between 1796 and 1822, this sword was the standard sidearm of British infantry officers in the Napoleonic Wars.
