EL6860 - A 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre. There is the remains of a maker's name on the spine, but I cannot make it out. The blade with patina overall, but otherwise in good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt has no movement. The iron of the hilt with patina, but no notable pitting, so the whole sword would clean up well. The grip has lost all the leather covering and has a bit of loss to the wood, but it is solid and stable with no movement. Functionally a good sword, but would benefit from some cosmetic work. No scabbard.
