EL6506 - An iconic 1788 pattern light cavalry troopers' sabre, by Woolley & Co of Birmingham. In average condition, with pitting to hilt and scabbard, Shagreen grip with silver wire remaining, might indicate a junior officer or NCO's private purchase, but otherwise this appears as a standard 1788 pattern trooper's sword. A little bit of movement in the hilt, and would benefit from some gentle cleaning. Untouched, as found.
