EL6136 - A good Victorian 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword with scabbard. Dating to 1897-1901, this example has no maker's or retailer's name, but is of good quality. Everything is solid. The hilt and scabbard are bright and clean. The blade has some light patina, with the etching quite faint. The thinner strands of the grip wire are gone, but the shagreen is in good condition and still dark. VR cypher to both hilt and blade.
